Setting up an Account
To setup your very own monthly property tax payment plan, please follow the steps below. You may want to print this page to use as a guide as you work through the setup. To begin, you will need to know your checking or savings account number and your bank routing number. If you are doing a withdrawal on your checking account, these numbers can be found at the bottom of your checks. The first set of numbers is the routing number and the second set is the account number (include zeros). You may also find it helpful to have an old tax bill handy as it will have your property's Parcel Identification Number (PIN) on it.

1. Browse to www.allencountytreasurer.us and click on "Monthly Pay Plan."

2. You will be taken to an information page about the Monthly Pay Plan. Click to continue at the bottom of the page, you should now see the picture of a house and above the house it should read "Welcome to Allen County Property Taxes." Click on the word "here" where it says "Or, click here to create a new account."

3. Fill in the four fields shown. Each field is required. If you do not have an e-mail account, contact the Treasurer's office for instructions. After the fields are filled out, click the "Create User" button.

4. Click the "Edit" button so that you can begin entering your personal information. Enter information as indicated. The routing number of your bank and your account number can be found at the bottom of your bank checks or by contacting your financial institution. Click "Save" after filling in all fields. If you miss any required fields, when you click "Save" you will see red asterisks by all fields that need to be filled in. Complete these fields and click "Save" again.

5. Click the "Select Property" button to add your property to your payment plan. You will now search for your property using one of the available criteria (such as last name). Be sure to select your property carefully! (Note: By using the "Select Property" button, you are actually going to choose your property(ies) for payment. You must add a property before you can begin the next step.)

6. Click "Payments" to add or modify payment date and amount and then click "Authorize." Please read the Authorization statement carefully and click either "Authorize," "Print," or "Cancel." (Note: You must authorize to go forward.)

7. Select which day of the month you want your payment withdrawn from your account (Note: You will not be able to select the 29th, 30th, or 31st). Payments always begin the following month.** The amount suggested in the payment amount is the approved plan that will avoid penalty if not paid in full by the due date. Enter the pay amount you wish deducted for each month. You cannot pay more than the Tax Due amount and will be warned if your payment is short of that amount. Click "Print," "Save" or "Cancel." (Note: The tax amount shown may be an estimate of your property taxes. When you receive your tax bill, you should go back into your account to see if your tax amount has changed. If so, you can change your monthly payments accordingly.) See additional notes below about selecting payment date**

8. After creating your account and password, entering your personal information, authorizing and entering payments and selecting a pay date you have completed the account setup and can now end your session by clicking "Logout" toward the top on the right.

To Modify Your Account
1. Browse to www.allencountytreasurer.us and click on "Monthly Pay Plan."

2. You will be taken to the information page about the Monthly Pay Plan. Click to continue at the bottom of the page and you should now see the picture of a house and above the house it should read "Welcome to Allen County Property Taxes." Enter your user name and password and click the "Log In" button.

3. Click the following as needed:

Click "Payments" to modify date or amount of payment.
Click "Delete" to remove this property and its payment data.
Click the "Edit" button to edit account information.
Click the "Select Property" button to add another property for payment.

4. End your session by clicking "Logout" toward the top on the right.

Additional Notes:

**Payments always begin the following month. If you would like payment pulled in the current month, finish setting up your monthly pay plan and then navigate back to the Treasurer's Home Page by entering www.allencountytreasurer.us in your browser. Once there, click "Single Electronic Payment" and complete this form on the day you would like payment pulled. This is a single pay option and only one payment will be pulled in the amount you specify on the day you complete the form. (Example: If you complete this form on any given day of the month and click "Pay" your payment will be pulled that same day! If you complete the form after 4:00 PM, your payment will pull the next business day.)

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The following buttons have been added to the Monthly Pay Plan (December 2009)

  • Cancel Payments - This button will permanently delete all payment information and remove your property from the payment list. Use this button if you want to remove all payments.
  • Delete Account - This button is found on the "Tax Payer Details" page and will permanently remove your account from the Monthly Pay Plan. You will be prompted to affirm this is the action you wish to take.
