Biography:  Commissioner Bill Brown

Bill Brown was elected 2nd District Allen County Commissioner in November 2006. He currently serves as vice-president of the Board of Commissioners.

Brown brings to the position a wealth of experience as a local business owner and community development partner. He grew his business, Summit City Electric, from the ground up and has built office warehouse buildings and revived several neglected commercial and historic properties.

A dedicated public servant, Brown has worked on and led many government and not-for-profit boards including the Northeast Indiana Workforce Investment Board, Community Development Corporation of Northeast Indiana, Leadership Fort Wayne and the Urban Enterprise Association.

As Commissioner, Brown serves as a member of the Allen County Plan Commission, Regional Marketing Partnership, Drainage Board, Community Corrections Board and the Downtown Improvement District. He is also on the board of Imagine Charter School.

Brown and his wife, Suzette, have been married for 34 years. She is President and General Manager of Summit City Electric. They have two adult children in college.
