You now have the option of receiving your Property Tax Bill electronically! This saves paper, is convenient and reduces tax dollars needed to print bills. Plus, you will be notified both spring and fall about your bill.
To sign up for electronic billing click here or at the bottom of this page on the link that reads "Electronic Billing." Once at the site, if you are a first time user, you will register an account.
You will be asked to enter your name and a valid email address. Read the agreement statement. Next, you will be asked to enter two security words. These words are necessary to protect the site from maliciousness. If you have a problem reading these words, you can click the speaker icon to the right of them and your computer will speak the letters or numbers you are to enter.
After creating your account, you will receive an email with a link that you must click to register your email. Then you will be sent a second email with your password to the site (you can change this later when you log in).
NOTE: If you do not recieve the second email with your password, your computer may be blocking this email. Please check your "junk email" or settings to allow this email through.
Once you have logged in, you will search for your property or properties (yes, you can select more than one property) using one of several criteria. If you have problems obtaining a result when entering an address or a name, trying shortening up on the address or name you are entering. For example, instead of entering 1234 Main Street, try just entering 1234 Ma.
Once you have selected your property(ies) you turn them on or off for electronic billing. When tax bills are ready, you will be sent a link you will use to view and print the bills you have selected.
It is very important that you keep your email address up to date! If an email is invalid, your account will be removed from electronic billing.
Electronic billing does not affect your escrow. Your mortgage company will still receive a file with your bill.
