Allen County Homestead Audit Our office is currently in the process of auditing all properties receiving the homestead deduction. We are mailing questionnaires (sample below) to selected properties to gather more information. Welcome to the Allen County Auditor's Office The Auditor is the Chief Financial Officer of the County. The staff is responsible for handling all receipts and disbursements of county funds, creating financial statements for the county, completing annual reports for review by the State Board of Accounts, and processing payroll for over 1,800 county employees.

Homestead Deduction Are you currently receiving the Homestead Deduction on your primary residence? The Homestead Deduction can significantly reduce your property taxes. If you are not currently receiving the Homestead Deduction, then click the Homestead Deduction link below to submit an online application. Please click the following link to access the Homestead Deduction information and application: Have you moved from a property that you were previously receiving the Homestead Deduction on? If so, you must notify the Auditor's office that your previous property is no longer being used as your Homestead. Please complete the Change of Use on Property Receiving the Homestead Deduction form by clicking the link below. Upon completing and submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email that your form has been successfully submitted. If you would rather complete the form by hand, you can print and return the form to the Auditor's office by email, fax, standard mail, or in person.
