ALLEN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Each year, a number of properties in Allen County revert to the County Commissioners due to unpaid property taxes.  These properties must first go through two tax sales and a redemption period.  This process is intended to give the owner every opportunity to satisfy his/her tax burden, and keep the property.  However, if the tax obligation is not satisfied, the deeds revert to the county.

The Commissioners have now set-up a separate corporation, called the "ALLEN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (ACCDC)" for the purpose of disposing of these tax-reverted properties.  The ACCDC is housed at 1 West Superior Street with the Allen County Building Department.  A list of available properties can be obtained at the front counter.  You may also click on the properties list on this page to see a list of properties.

Please note that this list changes, and you should verify whether or not the property you are interested in is still available.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the properties on the ACCDC property list, or have any questions about the program please contact Fred Merz.
