ALLEN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP.
Each year, a number of properties in Allen County revert to the County Commissioners due to unpaid property taxes. These properties must first go through two tax sales and a redemption period. This process is intended to give the owner every opportunity to satisfy his/her tax burden, and keep the property. However, if the tax obligation is not satisfied, the deed reverts to the County.
The Commissioners have established a separate corporation, called the ALLEN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORP. (ACCDC) for the purpose of selling these tax-reverted properties through a fair bidding process. It is our goal to rejuvenate and positively impact our community and neighborhoods by converting blighted areas of vacant, disrepaired buildings with occupied homes and structures, responsible ownership, and properly repaired and maintained structures and land.
The ACCDC office is located at 1 W Superior Street in the Allen County Building Department. A list of available properties can be obtained at the front counter for two dollars ($2.00), or you may also click on the "Property List" at the bottom of this page to view, print or download the current list of properties. Please note that this list will be updated periodically as new properties come onto the list and as sold properties are removed. As well, to learn more about the process of bidding and buying a property through the ACCDC, click on "The Process" at the bottom of this page to view, print or download a document that outlines the steps and important facts.
If you are interested in any of the properties on the ACCDC property list, or have any questions about the program please contact our managers:
