What We Do
It is the job of the Allen County Office of Homeland Security to lead a coordinated effort which promotes a safer, less-vulnerable county with the capacity to cope with hazards and disasters by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other human-caused and technological disasters.
We also help to lead the planning for and coordinating the operations of public safety support to large events in Allen County. Whether it’s an annual festival, a special visitor, an air show with our military partners, or a Farm Tour concert during harvest season, Working Together through Partnerships, Planning and Trust is how we get things done here in Allen County.
