Starting Feb. 3, the Children’s Immunization Clinic will be open again on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. The clinic has been closed since October due to efforts related to the H1N1 flu. The clinic, which is located on the fifth floor of the City-County Building, 1 E. Main St., provides free vaccinations for children and young people up to age 18. This is a walk-in service; no appointments are taken. Parents should bring a child’s shot record. During the month of February, the health department will also continue to offer free H1N1 vaccine on Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. at its clinic at Carew Medical Park, 1818 Carew St. For more information on the health department or its services, visit www.allencountyhealth.com or call 260-449-7561. |
