The Allen County Human Resources Department will host a free audio conference on how to find and use disability statistics.

The free audio conference will be held on Tuesday, June 15, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the City-County Building, Room 350, located at 1 East Main Street in Fort Wayne.

What will the 2010 U.S. Census tell about people with disabilities? Where does the 54 million Americans living with a disability number come from that is often quoted in the media? Andrew Houtenville, from the University of New Hampshire, will answer some of the frequently asked questions about disability statistics. He will also discuss the various sources of statistics related to disability, how to use them and interpret them, and what can we expect to learn about disability from the recent Census.
