The Allen County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously today to move ahead with plans to sell two pieces of County-owned property.

The action followed a public hearing required by state law prior to the sale of the real estate.  No deals for either of the parcels are imminent.

One of the sites is the former tuberculosis clinic at 2040 South Calhoun Street.  Included in the parcel is a 1,238 square foot, one-story medical office building and an adjacent parking lot.  The building has not been occupied since the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health opened its medical annex at 4813 New Haven Avenue.

The other site is the current Courthouse Annex located at 113 West Berry Street.  The parcel contains a 36,000-square foot, three-story office building with basement.  Several court-related offices are currently located in the annex.  The Commissioners expect to find new locations for those offices at other County-owned buildings once the renovation of the City-County Building is complete.
