NON-TAXABLE PROPERTIES Because of a change in legislature, an application for tax exempt status is no longer required every two years so long as the exempt property is owned, occupied, and used for educational, literary, scientific, religious, or charitable purposes per Indiana Code 6-1.1-11-4.
